HERE’S HOW WE’LL DO IT

1. Carbon footprint at events

We offer our clients a chance to calculate and compensate the carbon footprint of their event. We want to help event organisers to recognise the environmental effects of event production. We also aim to guide the organisers to make choices that are better for the environment (e.g., logistics, meals, overnight stays). Our partner Third Rock calculates the carbon footprint and carries out the carbon offsetting.

2. Carbon footprint of our organisation

We reduce the environmental effects of our business by considering the climate effects of our own work community. We calculate and compensate our own carbon footprint: our goal is to be a carbon neutral business by 2025.

3. Material efficiency at events

Event production uses a lot of materials that cause carbon emissions. We want to use our existing resources as efficiently as possible. We boost the circular economy in event production by renewing our stock record system and by training our employees to take resource efficiency into account in a larger scale. We measure efficient use of materials also by following the event recycling percentage per waste category.

4. Supply chain sustainability

Our goal is to engage our entire supply chain in Idea Group’s sustainability principles. We work with a large group of subcontractors, so shared principles help us to guarantee high-quality events that are also better for the environment.
