Healthy and productive work community
Our personnel are our greatest asset. Their wellbeing is one of our key values as we want to help them to manage their work and free time in a healthy way. An employee who is satisfied with their work community, and above all with their own work is more committed to the business and wants to give their best in client projects.
HERE’S HOW WE’LL DO IT
1. Sustainable leadership
Sustainability starts at management level, so one board member of Idea Group’s board is always responsible for promoting sustainability. We follow equality principles and all local and international laws. We are invested in following how well we reach our goals; for this, we use workplace satisfaction surveys and client surveys that also include questions about sustainability. We follow our sustainability programme and ensure that all the goals are met.
2. Well-being and work safety of our personnel
We support the well-being of our employees in several ways. All our employees have comprehensive medical coverage including occupational health care. An elected occupational safety representative promotes the health and safety of Idea Group’s employees, and we also have a safety and health committee.
Our skilful, inspired, and engaged employees are the basis of everything we do, so we monitor their well-being on a regular basis with work satisfaction surveys. A weekly poll also gives us up-to-date information about how satisfied our valuable employees are. We have regular one-to-one discussions between management and employees, and the main theme of the discussions is the well-being of the personnel.
3. Supporting professional growth
Our first goal is to make sure our skilled experts are happy to be a part of Idea Group, and the next step is to support their professional growth. We chart the skills of our employees and match their job profiles based on the results. We train our employees internally and encourage them to attend additional training during working hours so that they can strengthen their professional skills and increase their wellbeing.
Our own training and development concept Idea Academy was created to ensure that we have what it takes to succeed: the necessary knowledge, interesting work opportunities, and possibilities for professional development. Idea Academy offers 2-hour sessions 2 or 3 times a month, which amounts to almost 70 hours a year to learn new skills – and that is via Idea Academy alone!
4. Promoting financial growth and welfare
We continuously develop our policies to strengthen our financial growth. High-quality, efficient, and profitable business ensures that we can promote well-being and offer outstanding services in years to come. We believe that purpose-driven and knowledge-based management guarantees financial growth, so we are as interested in our work satisfactions surveys as in the development of our operating profit margin.
Carbon neutrality plays a key role in our company strategy and is visible in our values and management practices. We want to be the pioneers of minimising the carbon footprint of especially our event productions.
We believe in strong partnerships, as our business is based on strong client and subcontractor relationships. We also care about how our clients approach sustainability, and we wish to strengthen the trust between all our associates by developing shared sustainability goals.
Our personnel are our greatest asset. Their wellbeing is one of our key values as we want to help them to manage their work and free time in a healthy way. A satisfied employee is more committed to the business and wants to give their best in client projects.
